There’s little time between now and NetApp INSIGHT 2019 where industry experts are preparing for the three-day immersive experience to discuss the latest technical developments in the multicloud world. This year’s conference, which caters to NetApp customers and partners, will teach attendees to embrace a future built on a foundation of artificial intelligence and machine learning through breakout sessions, certifications, and hands-on labs.

To get more details on the conference, we sat down with Jake Turner, Solutions Engineering Director for NetApp, to get his perspective on the upcoming INSIGHT 2019 event. He told us for those working in healthcare IT this is an event that shouldn’t be missed.

“One of the best things about INSIGHT is it is focused on the customer, and we’ve taken their input into consideration in planning for INSIGHT 2019 so that they are getting what they need,” Turner told us. “We’ve kept the event technical, which gives customers the opportunity to stay on top of the biggest technical trends like hybrid-cloud, and we give them one-on-one and group access to our experts so they can dig deep into topics.”

Attendees can expect to hear from industry leaders including Centura Health on leveraging NetApp technologies like HCI to improve clinician and patient experiences, Pacific Biosciences on using NetApp applications for genomic sequencing, and Amgen on automating DR rebuild in AWS for critical applications to quickly recover from cyberattacks.

“We are dedicated to giving our customers what they need at the level they need it,” Turner said. “[What we’re providing] are similar to college level courses where you can learn about cloud or other topics at a beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels.”

Additionally, NetApp customer and partners will have the opportunity to attend healthcare-based sessions covering FlexPod converged infrastructure for clinical applications, NVDIA solutions for medical imaging, AI and genomic data management, and visit the AI for Healthcare kiosk.

Aside from a variety of sessions the most important part of the conference, according to Turner, is the community that is developed. ““Customers meet, collaborate, and share their challenges and successes every year,” he said. “We are very excited to help facilitate this type of environment for our customers.”

There’s a lot to absorb and tons to do including the opportunity to embrace future technologies in the healthcare industry and connect with others in the industry — what are you most excited for at NetApp INSIGHT 2019?
