Solution providers have done their job by giving healthcare new tools and technologies to use in patient care. Now it’s the healthcare industry’s turn. The implementers and the adopters are now on deck to demonstrate how new technologies and processes can be fully implemented throughout the healthcare delivery continuum.
Those fearless early adopters – the hospital administrators, clinical directors and empowered patients – have paved the way forward by integrating these new solutions in order to reach more patients, improve health outcomes, strengthen care taker collaboration and reduce medical costs. As Julie McGowan, MLS, MA, PhD wrote in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, “Telemedicine holds a great deal of promise for healthcare improvement. Telemedicine tools that seem new and complex today will be commonplace in the near future, just as the telephone was not designed for healthcare but added value in the healthcare environment in the 1800s.”
In this short video, Albert Ferreira, Senior Manager of Healthcare Solutions at Iron Bow Technologies, discusses the next big “Aha!” moment to occur in health it.
